Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    gear speed transmission

Has anyone have any experience dealing with these guys.

Sent them an email for a quote and received one for $1300 for a stage one transmission. $1400 if I provide my own LSD. Tranny is a F22 accord tranny. No core needed.

    Type I

    — Stock or polished to a chrome-like finish casing.
    — New bearings and seals using genuine replacement parts.
    — Carbon coated synchros.

another possibility is that I can just order the caron synchros and have someone who knows transmission put them in. It'll save me tons of money.

For the power goals I'm trying to achieve this summer of 270-280. Do you think I would need a tranny of this type or can I get away with a stock tranny with an upgraded clutch and flywheel.

I've been asking lots of useless questions but I just want to build my daily driver right. Unlike my past cars. taking corners isn't so fun in the end. But then again. Back in the days, there was no real tuning system except for AEM.

I have one of their Type II transmissions (H2U5) in my car and I am very happy with it. I supplied my own LSD (Quaiffe) and paid what they quoted you. I think that if you have a rebuildable core, you can get $400 of that back. I also had them swap out the final drive for the Prelude one (4.266 instead of 4.026). Overall they seem to be a good company with good people. Fast turnaround too! They got my LSD delivered on Wednesday and shipped out the new transmission on Friday!

They told me they didn't need a core from me. I wanted to stay with the F22 tranny.

Do you know how much they charge for a striaght stage II transmission?

I also read your review and been keeping up with it.

Ive dealt with them previously I highly recommend them for transmission rebuilts . They are top notch when you bring your transmission for service they take that into highest priority. And usually its a week turn around. And they give a warrantee on the tranny. Ive had 2 of my transmission built by them first was the h22 then was the f22 for my last turbo setup. They are good damn good. worth every penny.
