Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Base Line Dyno F22A1 90

Hello all, I am swapping my F22a1 for my H22a in the next few days, but before I replaced the trusty F-series I thought I should dyno her for a baseline and to see what I had been driving for the past few years.

    And well... I was impressed.

Setup: F22a1, Catback exhaust, short ram intake. (thats about it)

    Dyno: Dynojet chassis dyno

    Results: 114.7 WHP, 127.4 WTQ

          Top End

Top end would probably be helped greatly by an improved intake manifold such as the F22a6's and a better exhaust manifold again such as the f22a6. But for an engine rated by Honda to have 125hp and 137tq in 1990 when it was produced I don't feel bad about the numbers.

Easiest way to gain power. Delta regrinds are cheap pair that with a chipped ECU you can make a decent amount of power with a few supporting mods.

Do you guys know how weak the F-series valve springs are?
I can push them easily with my thumb.
                          Especially the A1/A4
The A6 has slightly stronger springs.

I would think strong ass springs would close faster at higher rpms
