Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

I believe that there is a possibility that if it did falil it might ruin your rear axle and tranny. But before you buy it contact the company that makes the product and see how it compares to the $800 LSD. Most shit is all made in the same factory it just has a different name and price tag.

i think i might do that. i just hope they dont try to "talk up" their product and make it seem better than the quife which i know isnt true. i wanted totry to find real people that have used it in the same trans i am using. f22 trans. the price is a little discouraging. that is why i wanted to see if somone has used it on here. i remember seeing a thread about the obx lsd and there was some modifacation needed to make that lsd fit in the f trans. that is another reason i wanted to see if anyone on here has used the phantom grip lsd. i might go on h-t and ask around. i might also try to find some reviews on it on the internet. i am going to research this as much as possible so i dont buy junk parts. especially parts that could end up hurting me or somone else.

Sad but it looks like the OBX would be a better buy, For one the obx is a full diff, The PG is just an insert, While I see the principals behind the design it doesn't seem to me like it will take the abuse and power.

i thought that the picture is what i got and that was just a cut-away view of the internals of it. i am going to research this some more until i actually make a purchase.

buy an obx and strip it and install the correct bellevue washers in it in the correct order. there is a thread on this on honda tech in the theory section. once the washers are in the correct order the lsd is actually a pretty decent unit. the reason people didnt like them before is because the washers are just randomly dropped in at the factory and doesnt cause enough preload on the gears which was causing them to break.

OBX LSD, redo the washers and retorque the bolts. You'll be much happier than getting a 'phantom slip'
