Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    exhaust rebuild

Ok so I decided my exhaust setup is too loud so im going to change the muffler. I was wondering if someone would be able to tell me if this muffler will still give me a little tone but not too loud.

click on my link it shows from 0-110 or something its has a magnaflow muffler but its 2.5 so expect it to be a little quieter. also mines all mandrel bent 2.5 with 2.5 collector and flows pretty well and will last me up till 350-400 hp max on this exhaust system... and also there is a drive by vid 2.

you'd be better off with a resonator.

I have 2 resonators on there right now...its not the tone that bothers me...its the loudness. I ordered the muffler so lets just hope it does the trick!

i have a magnaflow performance muffler. It sounds awesome and "anti-rice" IMO. The only problem i have with it is its almost louder inside the car than outside. Its not too loud though

that looks WAY to small to muffle any sound...I say no go.

okay don't think I'm retarded or something, but I added an 18" glasspack to my exhaust sytem in line w/ a resonator on my Greddy Evo 2 exhaust system, and it made it A LOT quieter. And totally killed the rasp I had before.

Oh I also hacked off the greddy Evo muffler and installed a Magnaflow Street Series 14816, the one w/ dual 3.5in stainless tips....so it would look more like stock. I'm pretty happy w/ that setup: Greddy Evo 2 catback/cut off 2nd res. and added 18" glasspack/cutoff Evo2 muffler and installed Magna. muff.
