Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Max Power?

    I'm just wondering, what's the max power I can get from an F22a without dumping $10k? Like, maybe $700 or so. What would be the best bang/buck (aside from the obvious intake and exhaust)

      I looked at that, but I really don't have the time/money/desire for an engine swap. I'm mostly looking to add some decent power to a daily driver

        shit, if you want it to brake! it takes more than that, you need to do a full tune up and buy a clutch too while your at it....

        nitrous is your best bet for 700 dollars 525 for nx kit, and 100 dollars to tune it.. sounds good to me!

            yeah, i was watching horsepower tv?? or something, where they had that teal civic, and put some zex on it, and it went from 105 to like 160ish at the wheels with a 55 shot.

              Nitrous is cheap IMO. Have to keep refilling the bottle. Just get good I/H/E system.

                Go with a NX or Zex kit. Dry kit will be the easiest and cheapest for what you want. Don't even bother getting a new one. Either troll around the honda boards or look on ebay. I got my NX wet kit off of ebay for $375 shipped, and everything worked fine. On top of that get a custom exhaust from a muffler shop, and maybe a cheaper ebay cold air intake. You should probably also get a Delta cam regrind too. You can get all that for under $700. If you ran a 75 shot and get the other parts that is close to a 100 hp bump.

                  I remember that one. Started out at 70hp with the 1.6L SOHC, then made it to 85 with some mods (ignition etc, headers, all kinds of stuff) and then made 130 with the 55 nitrous. Now, what are my options for actual engine upgrades (things I don't have to refill :P). And for spark wires, how much power would I really gain by going from 15k ohms to 300 ohms per meter?

                    Nitrous isn't that expensive to refill. It costs me 2.75 a pound here or 27.50 a bottle. You won't go through it that fast either. It doesn't really matter how you get the power ... fast is fast. Nitrous is very fun

                      Get everything in my sig and you'll be running some much better times. I have an auto EX and I ran high 15s @ the track, on top of that I went on a humid ass day w/no weight reductions (oh i wish I was stick). ANyway, here's the breakdown:

                      Intake=170
                      exhaust=350
                      delta regrind=125
                      ngk plugs= 20
                      nology wires=80
                      UR pulley set=150
                      TOTAL= 895

                      So there you go, for around 700 you can get some more pep to your step...

                      (i cant believe i just said that)

                          How did you get UR pulleys for $150? I got mine for $305 shipped and that was the cheapest I've ever seen them.

                            I purchased them directly from UR. I live 15 mins from them in Deer Park, NY. I walked in, and I asked them what they had for a 1993 accord, and they had a pulley set with blemishes on it, like some discoloration (sp?) in the pulley, but besides that they were perfect. I think it was a steal. Those pulleys rockz.

                              Damn you're lucky. I have the full set on my car, but I wasn't lucky enough to get them for that cheap. They do definitely rock though
