Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

i did it! jus tput it on a switch =)
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

So I know that this is a repeat and it was in the post somewhere
All you need is the a6 manifold, IAB control box, and the ecu from a 92, 93 EX or a 91 SE. This may also be a stupid question but which pin is pin a17?

And whoever on here got the wire harness for the 92, 93 EX or 91 SE did you just cut the orginal wire harness and sodder the wires to the new wire harness? and how did that work out?

And does anybody have the parts to do this swap just laying around that they are willing to sell? Sorry if the questions are stupid

i got a couple of iab but not the box just the valve...

as for the a17, its in one of those links lol i have to find out which link.

but i was going to cut off the harness off of a 92 but then i go thats alot of work, so (as explained in one of those posts i put up) that people just get a pin and then put it into the empty a17 plug, very easy.

            AS FOR THE SWITCH

its easy, take one end of the iab connector and connect it to a positive switched when the ignition is on, then the other end relay it with a switch that is wired to a ground. when u want it on then the ground completes the circit (when u turn it on) and when its off its not grounded so its not on.

Is there any way to control the butterflies w/o doing the ecu swap?

Isn't he talking about pin a17 from the pt6 ECU?

thats all the valve is...as long as u have the vac box just wire up the the posi to a17 or where ever there is a pos. charge, then connect the ground to any metal part with a switch or vice versa

Haven't looked into it with detail, but I think there is experimentation going on with programming ECUs to open the butterflies at whatever RPM.

So, midnight, you're sure that the positive goes to the ECU/PIN A17 and the negative goes to a ground, that's it right? So the ecu provides the 12v, its not the other way around, ecu completes ground, other wire goes to a 12v source? Just wanted to make sure, I just finished my IAB/ECU setup.

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.
