Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

so i finally got to burning a chip and well, i used this "tuned" h22a map that jose (d112crzy) gave me, and i plugged it into the ecu, idles ok, hiccups some. But when i give it gas, instead of the rpms going up IT DIES! arg what a piece o crap.

lol!! sorry, that map was set for 550cc injectors!! lol, my bad, lol. running uber rich!! lol. i changed it tho, hopefully you can get around to burning it now and see how it runs. shouldnt be hard to lean it out since im pretty sure its gona be a lil rich since the engine it was tuned for had 9.0cr

                      I AM VERY EXCITED!
I recently had a friend order me a new chip burner(still a willem from mcumall on ebay) (friend had to order it because of my wifes and my paypal needs to be verified!) Any way it came in today and I fired it up just like in the link mrx posted (i dont get to view pics on there!) anyways It worked first try!!! OOOOh yeah son! Anyways tonight Ill swap back to 450cc and install ecu tomorrow Ill connect charge pipes and wideband! HEre we Go again lol!
The old willem that HIGH C sent me was faulty! I am gonna see what MCUMALL will do, maybe take it back as a return and send me a new one??!

                          Ouch! LOL I wont!
My newest problem is the ecu itself! I cant get the p06 to run the car, the stock ecu werks like yours did, a really lopey idle barely run(with 450cc's)
All I did to the ecu since you socketed and chipped it for me over a year ago was cut the J1 jumper, and soldered it back together! Should I have used a new jumper? My car is useless again till I figure this out!

recheck that u soldered it clean and well. Does the check engine light go off with the jumper disconnected? It could just be a bad burn on the chip unless u never touched the original chip.

When I originally cut the J1 it still had it I think!? I will try that today Again!
Ok call me crazy but I took the chip out and it started! So then I put the chip back in and it would want to die sometimes~but not all the time! I am going to burn one of my other chips to see if it was a bad burn, but I think it is just a faulty ecu. When I got it going, seemed ok, so I took it for a ride, went to just about 4000rpm and BLAM a big ass back fire! So I tried it again when returning back and it did the same, so I was really careful after. I have a couple of things to fix also, like my connector is melting on the manifold and causing it to smoke alot! and also my oil pan fitting has a little leak! Other than that just the ecu and my wideband needs to be installed yet! I will try to get all these things done today!

                              WaC!

its supposed to. Its still a stock ecu at that point. But there would be so much fuel going in it'd be practically impossible to even get to 5000rpm. And if u were in limp mode u'd be limited to 3500rpm. Check your plugs, i bet they're a toasty black color lol. If u can keep the car on with the chip for around 30 seconds till the wideband can read and u can adjust accordingly
