i didn't read the whole thread... but there is no such thing as too much power when it comes to stereo gear but all you should need is some heavy wiring, a high output alternator, a good battery and a cap.

i agree with him for his reasoning, but i disagree for mine.

i run a cap, and depending on your situation sometimes it proves to be beneficial.... but most the time its used... its not.

i do know as far as a capacitor goes mine works with my optima yellow top very well my lights used 2 dim bigtime until i bought my 1farad stinger cap n yellow top i havint had probs since and its been years and i also run stock altenator i guess its a matter of preference lol 2 cap or not 2 cap lol lol lol

lol, i love my yellowtop.... listening time increased, even though i never sit in my car and just bang anymore sincei moved to the hood lol.

and that shit will crank over after days of not driving and still start like a champ.

plus the added benefit of draining it all the way and just charging it back up no problem.

thats why i like them.... because at some shows and comps they make the cars play with the motor off.... which will kill a score unless u have batts...

ya its because their indoors for one or two having your motor running can increase your voltage and current abilities. Running off the battery kinda levels the playing field.
