400 is plenty. The lcd onyl draws the slightest amount. The back of the dvd player should have a sticker stating how much power it consumes. Is your lcd run on AC power??? Most are DC, so you just hard wire off a fuse or something. I have a 350 watt inverter and the dvd player and ps2 run at the same time no problems. In case your wondering, i have the dvd player to play dvd-r's and all other types of media that the ps2 cant read.

awesome...well most of the screens ive seen have been both ac and dc so i figured if im gonna hard wire an inverter i might as well plug the lcd into it instead of having to hardwire that too

That's cool if your screen comes with the 2-prong power adapter. Sometimes you have to buy that as an accessory. I would hard-wire that screen in still though, so you have an extra outlet(s) for plugging in a camera or anything else when you need juice. It's really easy to wire in the screen, just go from a fuse, I used the power antenna fuse b/c it only gets power when the key is turned and I wont have to worry about turning it off, but, to each his own

The one inside by yer foot there. I just looped the bare end of a wire around one of the prongs on the fuse and put it back in. I didn't change the fuse to a higher one (i think it's a 20 amp) because the screen only said it drew like 0.25 amps or something crazy low like that.
