    What is wrong?

Ok, I took my subs and amp out of my car to put my interior back. About two weeks later I hooked my subs and amp back in. Now they arent working, light does even turn on on the amp. Everytime I take my subs out I make sure to unplug the fuse in the wire so if the wire touches the car it does not blow it. I have hooked my old amp to the wires and still doesnt do anything. I have put new fuses in both the wire and amp. I have took the positive and negative and touched them together and nothing happens, no sparks or snapping sounds. I dont know what is wrong?

Hum... Guessing that you do have power at your battery. Sounds like your problem is in your wires. Your not getting any power or your not getting a good ground. If you had a good ground and a good hot wire when you brought the two together you should have gotten a nice little spark from that short lol. Recheck your wiring would be my first suggestion.

I do have power at my battery. I think it is in the wires also. I have checked the ground cable, even unbolted it and rebolted it in the same place. I think I need a new power cable which Im going to need for my new fuse. Also the power cable looks to have been split and reconnected at one point. What size fuse is suppose to be in your wire, isnt it a 30amp?

Depends on what the total draw for your system is. Check the battery fuse to make sure that isn't blown (you DO have a fuse on the power cable within 12" of the battery, right?) then follow the cable run to make sure there aren't any breaks or shorts.

Is the remote wire hooked up? That'd make it not turn on..
well, nm thats probly not it but where does your amp wire go? Probly the ground.

The fuse isnt blown and the fuse is within 12" of the battery. I will check for breaks or shorts later today.

Im going to check that later today, pull the deck out and see if the wire is undone.

check to see if your getting power from the power wire with one of those little uh i forget what there called the things with the light inside that looks like a screwdriver lol.. but if you get power from that then well your getting power and find a new spot for your ground to see if you can get that to go to. i put my ground on on of the bolts for the rear speaker and that worked for me.. idk just trying to help good luck

yO! you say the power wire was cut than reconnected? check to see if they just twisted them and tapped or actually soldered the two back together. (esp if over 8 guage)

if your remote wire is disconnnected you would still have a live power cable (pending blown fuse or short)

first spot i would check is where they ran through the firewall (typically people use the fog light harness plug spot.)
