The cheap ones are non-TFT lcd screens. That means you will only be able to see it from a few degrees off center, and the picture will be sub-par. Save up and buy a TFT lcd screen. I recently bought one and havn't found a spot in or around the car where I can't see the picture. Well worth the extra $$. I've found the hardest part about getting the best picture is setting up the lcd with the best size setting (zoom, stretch, normal, etc.) to match the movie that is playing.

Actually, I wouldn't do that either if I were you. On ebay, they are notorious for selling screens as "true" TFT monitors, but they usually are not. I came close to ordering a few screens off ebay a while back, but after noticing that almost all them have the exact same button configuration but with different paintjobs, I wised up. Caveat emptor, my friend.

I got an Audiobahn 7 inch or so widescreen TFT. I believe it was a bit over $200 or so. I got it at a local shop. Came with wireless headphones, but I won't be using them.

every once in a blue moon you can come across as true TFT screen for pretty cheap. I'd say do some more research on the brand. Most lcd's are made in Asia anyhow.

Haha, bastards!! You never know about no-name brands though. Have you ever heard of XXX or DD speakers? Probably not, although you would hear it 3 blocks away if it was in your neighborhood. Are there any reviews of that screen that you can find?

well i know that there are high end brands that are not familiar names...
but when i try to search for these brands on a search engine like yahoo, the only thing that comes up are ebay listings, no home page, no nothing...one reason of this might be because a lot come from asia though
some of the brands that im calling no names are "pyramid" "pyle" "starvision" "tecvox" "lilliput"
if youve actually heard of these brands and im sounding like a dumbass calling them "no names" then im sorry, i havent searched for all of their web sites yet...
