My radio (stock) fades out after 10-20 minutes (am or fm) and then only comes on if the lights are turned on (either position). Any ideas what could be wrong or anyone solve a similar problem?? Thanks for any help.

sounds like a wiring problem. did you recently just get your accord or have you always had it? if you just got it it sounds like the old owner fried the stock wiring and tried to fix it himself.

Just got it, but the previous owner was a little old lady who barely knew how to put gas in. My first guess is either the key switch or the radio itself. I'm giving this car to my daughter in college in VA, so any help will be appreciated.Comment

radio....im assuming its still the an original unit that says honda on it. just check to see if any of the wires are cut. or if the harness itself is loose.Comment
