    Gps antenna help

For indash navigation units does the gps antenna HAVE to be mounted outside the car? Or can you still get decent reception inside the car say.. on the rear decklid or dash?

I asked on my new forum.. I've had 48+ views with 2 responses, neither one great. No one really posts much.. they totally suck compared to the almighty cb7tuner

This might be satellite antennas as well. I would think the front dash would be better than the rear

I imagine outisde would create optimal reception though...

Yeah I'm looking at the Panasonic Strada CN-NVD905U, supposed to have 12 million points of interest, hard drive based not cd based.

I hope the navigation is good, how did you run the wire to the dash?

air ride accord installed it, but the wire was ran at the edge of the dash if the makes sense in the passenger side. just tuck it in there and ran the wire to where you want the antenna

mine is also hard drive based, not cd. navigation is great. i don't use it much, but when i do, its was well worth it
