    Wagon with 4 subs

As of right now I've made a box for 4 subs. I've got two Kicker CVR12s and got 2 more on the way. I've got audiobahns holding the other two openings. Really all I'm looking for is something other than my 29 1/2" W x 31"L and 9 1/2" H box. I'm thinking about fiberglassing. I was just wondering is there is anyone else running 4 subs in either their wagon or sedans for some inspiration. BTW, it sounds great.

    Thanks

Hmmm, 4 subs sounds like overkill but whatever.

As for making a fiberglass box to hold them, I would say NO. It would be tremendously large and cause all sorts of problems in the lay up process. Plus, if you want to have 4 subs back there, you might as well get rid of any thought that you will have trunk space

EX: Here is my fiberglass box with 2 subs (unpainted of course)

If you wanted to get 2 more subs in there you would pretty much have to bring the front of the box out about a foot and then glass across the entire front of the thing, or create two extra 'pods' on either side near the storage bins. It's up to you, but I would feel concerned about glassing an area that big (but that's just me ) If you do go ahead, good luck

The only problem I see running into is having to fabricate the box in the trunk space itself. Which sucks.

Just take my design, and add two more on the sides

Yeah I like your design and I'll probably add an amp rack right in the middle. I'll just have to design it in a way where I can still access my spare tire compartment somehow.

The access to the spare tire compartment is kind of a pain to do if your subs require more than 1 cubic foot for each one. The false floor hinges up so far back, there's not much footprint space for the bottom of the box. As for an amp rack, that would look pretty cool. I went the other way just because I wanted to free up some space so i can actually use the hatch area for something besides the subs. Good luck with this build, it's good to see wagons doing it right and big

yep, got my matte, angelhair, resin, and MPK today. So hopefully I can get this going soon. I gotta get me some felt... Damn I knew I was forgetting something important.

Hey, don't make the mistake I did. I would recommend not using felt because it is so thick and hard to get soaked all the way through with resin. Instead get something more along the lines of Tshirt material. It's easy to stretch and it will soak through much more easily, with less resin. That means, you will save money

/\x2 either t-shirt material, or cheap fleece. thats what i use. you can get it at walmart for a couple dollars a yard for the ugly patterned stuff (you wont see the pattern anyway )

12Volt is a pretty good source. Go to their Forums on there is a fiberglass box how to. Fiberglass Forums is also another great site.
