You would be better off with the multiple holes.

I really can't remember if the hole are perfectly square or slightly offset.

ex uses 5.25" speakers, im gunna try out what graycar said for 6.5" speakers tomorrow i'll tell you how it turns out

well i just tried what graycar said and it didnt work out.
1. you gotta drill new holes
2. the space is very small that it is extremly hard to find a slim speaker that will fit it.

now the way around this all would be....making a bracket to hold the speaker. the bracket will basically serve as a spacer to give you more clearance and you can screw the bracket into the oem holes and not have to drill new ones

thanks, i think ill just drill new holes since i found shallow 6 1/2 speakers

Was it the mounting holes in the door or the holes in the speaker?

But which of the two (door or speaker) do you think were goofy?
