    Kick Panel enclosures

Ok so I just got around to installing my custom fiberglass kick panel enclosures and wanted to know what you think if them.

They look pretty good, maybe go back over with a higher grit paper and respray for a smoother look. On doing it yourself though

looks nice, it would never work on my automatic tho, I love my dead pedal. =] Great job

Now someone needs to do a band pass kick panel enclosure to one up this project lol.
I cant Slam further. The ground refuses to get any lower.

that would be useless, sorry. bandpass midbass would have horrible output, hell even subwoofers in bandpass are horrible. they have a very broad feuq. responce.

ihate how our cars have the speakers so low. so i wouldnt bother putting extra speakers down there but it does look nice.

Yeah sand them bad boys down and re paint them then theyll be even nicer! Also are you gonna put tweets in those smaller holes? I might suggest components! Also IMO only! I would try and paint them either to int carpet or dash colour or ext body colour

And FYI "Akira_kj" manuals have the dead pedal also!
1loudaccord: exactly leave the low end for the subwoofer(s) and/or rears.

Also you shouldnt "hate" the fact that the speakers are low on the accords, as it is if they were higher they wouldnt image as well because of the difference in path lengths of the speakers to the listeners ears. from left to right and front and rear! If you took out a tape measure and measured the distance from the drivers and passengers headrests to where his kick are as compared to the dash or the stock location or the door handles which is up higher, youll find that the closest ratio distances is his kick pods location followed by the stock location. Also if he could've angled the mids more toward the listener it wouldve improved the clarity and psoobly the volume of the speakers sound!

Here are mine and I still got tons of leg room lol! Sound freakin great too!

good job.. but needs to be sanded down some more as mentioned.. would have been way much better if the spekers were aimed to the listener and not under the dash..

Nice...mine are going in the same spot (except my tweeters will be down there too, cause I only have 5.25's)...I'm psyched! Also, the OP's kick panels look great as well, but I agree about possibly sanding them once more.

                        i say
#1 upgrade the speakers them shizz are busted son. lol
#2 if your going to go with paint do what was said above, smooth and match colors, i wouldnt paint just cuz of the location its gonna get hit a lot. thats why im not putting mine there im putting 6.5" pods on the doors, i have my tweets inside the dash vents for defrost, i hate looking at tweeters and it sounds good image wise.
#3 if this was my car and i went the route you did, i would get factory color matched carpet and/or vinyl and wrap it, its easier to repair, and its easier to do, it will look just as good if not better.

Did I say midbass? I ment a set 12s. or was I just joking? lol= joking? perhaps lol.

Bandpass is great. I dont know if the fad there is to have your tweaters so high that you hear a ringing after you get out but here we like to shake the windows alittle. Thats what the high and low cut off on the amp is for so you dont go around thumping voices.

                            Bandpass boxes suck....

                            End of story.

You guys must only like hearing your windows shake because no bass is going to be anywhere close to accurate in them.
