5th gen speakrs in my cb7

will 5th gen accord front speaker 6.5'' housing fit in my front door? the freaken dealer wants like 70 bucks for a housing that fits 6.25 speakers...crazy.

also, does the ex 5th gen have a amplifier stock? i highly doubt it...all i know is they have tweeters.

yes 5 th gen speakers and the pods should fit. if they don't just make new holes for it should be 2 hard at all and no the 5 th gen doesn't come ampilfed. only amplifer is on the stock radio just like how ur stock radio was. nothing big everything is normal just like ur 4 th gen. have fun

Why don't you just buy 1" spacer rings instead? You'll fit the speakers anyway and they shouldn't cost more than $10 for both rings.

i been hearing if i use spacers..ill loose that "acustic" in the car...the bass will flow thoughout the door..not just in that area...i thought that was the point of the speaker pod

I have an 5th gen, And my speaker pods have grilles in the rear, so it's basically just a spacer... I've had to cut out the grilles to fit bigger speakers anyway, and now my 6½ woofer is so huge I have to build myself a custom pod.
But if you can fit 5th gen pods go ahead, you won't have to purchase spacers! I'd like to see pics when you're done!

i got some spacers from a infinity kappa set right here..ill probably be done with it next week if i get the pods this week...and then buy some infinity kappa speakers for the fronts.
