If a theif wants your car really bad cant he just break a window and cut off the power to the siren? I am just contemplating about buying an alarm and not sure if its worth it. Maybe a club or something is a better solution?

yes, it could buy you a few seconds to get outside and whoop the theifs ass as he tries to steal your shit! however the key to an effective alarm is hiding everything so that a theif cant just go and snip some wires in plain sight. try hiding all alarm wires into factory wiring bundles and looms. for my install i used all black wiring including replacing all ignition wiring with black so if a theif does get in there hopefully he wont be able to tell what wiring is for the starter kill and just give up.
a seperate fuel pump or ignition kill switch is a good idea too
btw a club isnt a bad idea but a theif could simply take a hack saw and cut your steering wheel and remove the club so i wouldnt used it as my only form of antitheftFA1

i just connect an old school hot rod ignitor to an alarm relay, and solder the tips to the inside of the door handles. and when the alarm goes off, the ignitor is kicked on, and ZAP
james bond shit right there

If a theif really wants your whip! Well he is going to get it regardless of your efforts... to be totally honest!

it is worth putting an alarm in.......it tends to make your car less succeptable to break in and they will go looking for a easier target.....I recommend a decent alarm nonthing cheaper than a prestige brand or better. Also rec a steering wheel club lock and brake pedal lock. Thats what we have on my bros civic; alarm with the blicking light right on top of the sterring wheel colum so they can see it plainly perfect, a steering lock, and a brake pedal lock, try breaking into that to steal....
You know, the nite is quiet, so they really dont want an alarm goin off at nite when its too quiet; and like they say earlier too, hide/disguise the wiring and alarm unit so it is harder for them to find, and also rec some keyed hood lock pins!!!!!!
