    Subwoofer Placement in trunk

I'm about ready to build a sub-woofer box for one 10" sub. I'm just curious on where everyone elses subs are placed, and if they are just sitting around in the middle of the trunk, or nicely positioned somewhere. My brothers got one 12" sub box in the trunk of his IS300, it's not strapped down to anything so it just slides around from time to time. .

What about u guys with the rear trunk sway bar? . .. i've seen people strap their speaker boxes with belts to thier sway bar.

What i plan to do is possibly build a box that will sit on the left side of the trunk. this will allow me to still utilize the trunk space and not block my jack stand.

tell me what u guys think .. what u guys have, problems, suggestions .. u know u know.
    -thanx

i am building my box so that it cuts off the "T" made by the sheel wells. everything forward of the rear of the wheelwells will be cut off by the box and false wall. when its built, it will be sasier to understand what i mean.

In the 92 accord, I have the sub in the rear left corner of the trunk. That way i have most of the trunk still to use for stuff. In the 93, I have it in the middle or the rear, but that car has no trunk for the most part.

If your looking to save space and not have it move around, look at building your own fiberglass box. It's not as hard as it looks!

i have a sub box made for a camaro. one of thoes ones built so you can put it in the car, and look stock still.

anyway, it's sitting in the back. looks like a rock. the back of it is right up against one the driverside of the car, closer to the seats. it's angeled to face the passengerside tail light. acoustics in a car counts too.

It's enclosed, and sounds exactly as if it were firing in/out. The fiberglass mold I made IN PLACE so it's snug, there's a little flat metal bracket on top that holds it in there and one that you can't see on the front. It sounds really good for a 10".
