head unit from a 2000 accord

my friend has a 6 disc in dash changer from his 2000 accord that he swapped out for a pioneer head unit.


i just got jacked today.


can i install his old unit into my car? i dont feel like spending big bucks.

You can install it in your cb but you will need the factory plug from a 98 and up honda or acura, cuz the plug in your cb is not the same as your buddys accord. I think Metra makes the plug that you need and it comes color coded for a easy install or you could go and get a plug from the junkyard but then you will need a wiring diagram to hook it up. Getting it to fit nice in the dash might be somewhat of a pain. It will be cheaper than getting a new unit and you'll have a 6 disk in the dash, sweeeet.

it wont just plug right in, the connectors are different. However, if you have a few bucks you can make an adapter.
