hey sorry if repost....looking for a better car alarm..

here is the situation..i maybe moving to the local universtiy dorms... and i want something that will be able to give me feedback when someone is fucking with my car...my car is attractive because of the carbon fiber hood.....i wont have the luxury of sleeping 10 feet from my car anymore....can someone give me any good suggestions of some good brands? or exact models i should look into

i plan on doing the install myself..so im looking at a price range of 350 bucks for the unit...

i have the viper 791xp but thats the same one as the python.

i have a shock sensor that came with it and not that other bullshit tilt sensor and stuff. i think its stupid for that, it wont help as much.

backup battery and siren helps if they disconnect the power from the brain.

the best antitheft alarm is only as good as the installer who black tapes, solders and runs the wires with factoy wiring so that others wont see whats going on.

im an installer at circuit city and seen many shit jobs haha.

also i hooked my alarm up to my horn so that its extra loud if it wants to go off, plus 2 sirens in the engine bay and one inside the car.

i have 791xp in 3 of my cars, remote start and all. i like it.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

              Retro!

as others have said you can have the best alarm in the world yet if its installed poorly its worthless.
i personally installed my own viper 5000 that i definatly recomend. im kinda of obsessed with security so i cut off all the wiring and replaced it with all black wiring and did the same to the ignition harness wires and them put as much of the wireing as i could along with factory looms and retaped. also a backup battery is a must have if you own a honda imo.
