New deck suggestion time

Im in the market for a new deck since I sold my kenwood KDC-4028 to a friend.

My budget right now is around $175.
Must have mp3 and 3 sets of pre-amp outputs. And must be a good quality unit. Nothing dual or pyle or anything alone the lines of cheap like that.

Right now I am considering either another kenwood, the kdc-4032 or a pioneer,theDEH-P5800MP. Open for other suggestions. The alpine units are decent but the good ones are over $200.

pioneers have always been my favorite, from the cheap ones to the super expensive ones, they are all the top of the list in my book. their speakers on the other hand... lol .

yeah i'm partial to Pioneer for sure. they're the only deck i've ever owned. never had a problem with one. Eclipse decks are great but man the new ones are butt ugly. i remember back in the early 90's when they looked super sexy.

Eh I spent some more money and get a Kenwood KDC-MP732.
Kenwood's are that bad actually, they come with all the features you want at a good price. And still they are reliable. Eclipse are good and all but I want the piece of mind knowing that I can take my face plate with me every now and then.

Bruno8747...my sister has that Kenwood deck in her car. It's a solid deck i have to say and the dot matrix display is so soothing to the eyes.

Personally, ive owned many, many decks. I liked Pioneer decks until they start breaking on me.

Im very high on Alpine decks myself. They dont have a lot of features found on Pioneer decks, but for some reason, a lot of people say that Alpine decks sound sooo much better. I have to agree.

On looks alone the Kenwood one looks nicer. But from what I hear Pioneer is overall a higher quality HU. And I'm guessing you want 3 sets of pre-amps to run for front speakers, rear speakers, and a sub. I think if you get one set of pre-amps and run it to an equalizer you can split it into 3.

Save up a little more dough and get a Nakamichi CD-300 like me. $225 or so on Ebay, and the JDM/audiophileness/understatedness of them makes the girls so horny.

That kenwood looks good but I would go with alpine. Look on ebay not to bad with prices. I have an alpine cda-9851, very happy with it. It also has a tilt.

Thats the one I got, The Kenwood KDC-MP732.
It has everything I want and the price was pretty good. I got it for 175.75 shipped.

I like all the features that the kenwood has, compared to alpines, Pioneers and others in the price range the Kenwood is better.

I was looking at the Pioneer premier DEH-980BT for my HU. i orignally wanted an alpine deck but i didn't really see any that really match my tastes perfectly like the permier does. at a sale price of 449 or something at onlinecarstereo.com i'd say it's alittle expensive but hopefully worth the money. i was suprised at the 5 volt pre-outs myself.
