    "POWER ANTENA" need help!

Hey guy's, I just went out to the junkyard and got my self another power antena out of a 92ex and put it in my 91. The guys at the junk yard tested it and it worked. So I put it in my car and plugged her in and nothing. (note) the reason I got a new one is because when I bought my car last july it was already broken so I was driving around barely getting radio stations. The first thing I bought for my car was a new Panasonic deck. Could it be that the guys at Circuit City didn't wire it in because I told them that the power antena was broken? Any advise would help!

Well when you put in an aftermarket deck, some of them wont do the power antenna. Im not sure what ones. But, there should be a antenna wire, and if they didnt connect those, than that could be your problem. If none of those, wiring may be messed up somewhere else.

Try seeing if theres a power ant cable on the stereo if not you could do a simple wiring. Just connect the cable to the acc wire. that way you still have a working ant. If you want, also add an on/off switch.

Thanks for the replies guy's, but I got it fixed. It was just the wire behind the deck!

I work at Circuit City as an installer and I have heard stories about people at Circuit not really knowing what they are doing. At the location I work at, we do everything. It took an installer in texas over 4 hours to do my moms wireless** satelite radio I got her... and the shit dont work right. so... Did Circuit fix it for you?

No, the closest Circuit City is 2 hours away in Spokane Washington..... So I just took it to a audio place here in town!
