What kind of logic is that?

Saying that "A sub that is built to bnlow..." is such crap. That's like saying a manufacture that puts a valve on a basketball to put air in means is going to pop.
I've been wondering if manufacturers are going to make it easy for people that like to do things themselves, to do just that.
Plus Boston Acoustics is the SHIT!
Why? Because... Life Happens @ 4500 RPM

I don't quite understand how you figure it's less capable longevity wise.....because it can be rebuilt. BTW, they are very well built, but the initial cost is up there. About $600-700 a piece. $70 for voicecoils..... Hey, it's cheap to fix it after a couple years of hard running, cheaper than a new sub!!

seen it a long time ago, at SEMA,

Boston Acoustics normal does make a solid product, but why any company would make a subwoofer the shape of the worst sounding speaker SQ wise is beyond me.

I run alot more power then that sub cares to look at and my subs are constantly going. $70 for a VC isnt good considering comp brands are in about the same range and a professional is doing it.

for the same price buy a RE XXX 06 model and dont worry about it blowing

Memphis has been doing that on ther mojo subs for a long time, so you can take it out and send it for warranty if there is a problem ....so the customer doesnt have to pay to ship the enitre thing.

4inch voice coil, 2000RMS, but takes 8000RMS like a champ, almost 5 inches of excursion

i thought the MTX RFL series could be rebuilt as well.
First squares, then hexagons, then ovals? i'll stick w/ perfectly round subs for now.

most of the time when you buy a quality sub from a good company , you can buy a recone kit for it, and its extremely easy to recone a sub on your own.

I can post a video of it if you need help
