Wierd MP3 to Deck problem!

So I bought a minijack to RCA cable and plugged it into the back of my P6700MP Pioneer deck. It happened to be on CD and the MP3 Player played over the top of the CD music.
Then I switched it to AUX and it works fine, I just cant change the volume with CD player- it goes up on the deck, but the volume doesn't increase. So do I HAVE to buy the IP-BUS to RCA converter? If I do buy that extra 30 dollar cable will everything work then? If the deck has AUX RCA inputs on the back why the hell wouldnt it work?

Are you sure those are auxilary RCA inputs on the back and not a subwoofer/amp input?

I kinda have the same issue i bought a set of wires to hook up my shuffle to the back of my deck and it works fine, but i notice that it only sounds like music is coming from my front right speaker and i can only raise the volume via shuffle as well.

I have like three wires taht i can hook it up to in the back of my deck, do you think hooking it up to a different wire might help? Although i know i hooked it up to the auxilury wire...
Any help would b great.

What deck has Amp INPUTS?

What kind of deck has amp and sub unputs? Those are outputs... so.... hmmmmmm.

just buy the ip bus cable with rca, and just go in the menu and turn on the aux and it will work fine bro
