ok i blew my sub and ive only had it in for about 5 days. the sub is an infinity and the amp is a infinity reference 611ainfinity reference 611a infinity kappa perfect 12.1d my question is wut should the break in period be? im runnin the setup at 2 ohms, would that be enough power to blow the subs even after its broke in?

Your setup looks fine, parallel setup, 2-4 ohm voice coils, looks optimal--->

The info I found says approx. 30 hours. Here is the post I found, searched GOOGLE and this popped up from Cardomain store comments:

"I would highly recommend these subs to anyone looking for SPL or SQ. I haven't heard better SQ from any other sub and the SPL is above average. I am running 2 12.1D's in 1.75 vented enclosures tuned to 20hz, off of a JBL 1200.1 amp. Although the recommended RMS is 350, these babies have no problem handling more. As far as durability issues other reviewers have brought up. As long as you break them in for the recommended time (about 30 hrs)before you go crankin them, you'll have no problems. Plus the warranty on these are great."

Warning: My friend had two of these in his truck and he broke them in, then turned them up a little and they quit/blew! Twice! SO he complained till the store gave his refund and he bought some JENSENS lol the ones with the big ass surrounds! He pounded the crap out of them! Since day 1! They may not have sounded super but they were good! I have since been leary on the quality of the Infinity Perfects! IMO

I haven't really heard good thing either, that was a quote I posted. I'd either rock JLs, Rockford Fosgates, Alpines, Diamond, or Kickers.....

well guys i work for UPS and i get major discount on infinity stuff. i get 60% off retail price on them. the one i got the msrp is 220 bux, i got it for 75 brand new. and my amp the msrp is 445 i got it for 170 shipped, so i could pass up either deal, and they sound good as long as your break them in first.

yes you are supposed to break in subs so the material....well...breaks in properly. i think for the most part speakers wise u need to break them in b4 u pound them half to death.

i say about 30 hours, too, i've heard of going upwards of 50 hours, but hey, its all about what you want, mine were properly broken in, and they've been bumping for over 10 years now, and still bumping hard as ever...so i think it was done correctly..
