door speaker problem

ok i have some 4x something pioneer speakers, for some reason it only works when i hand is touchin the speaker why is this? the connection is tight. hook up right, just when i touch it, it plays then when i move my hand and stops

Is it in stright maybe it is being blocked or something. Take it out and try it while it is plug in. Maybe bad wires.
