2 12s....my friend has 2 MA Audio 12s in his Altima, and he easily has the deepest, loudest bass I've ever heard. I have two Kicker CVR-12s and they're OK...

2 12's have more bass than 10s on most rap songs because the beats and lows are lower than the level that the 10s are literally capable of playing..and 12's can be just as fast as 10s, because 12s generally have larger motor structures...bigger cone mass coupled with a proportionally bigger motor structure is going to produce a sub with the same transient response!

werd..12's will do everything that 10s will, and then some. granted, they wont extend down as low as 15s, but then they cost less initially and then the amps (most expensive part of a stero system) are less expensive as well...i'd go with the 12s..

The tens normally still have the higher frequency bass though, so if you're looking for BOOM BOOM BOOM, 12's no doubt, but if you want a nice quality tight sounding bass i'd say 10's.

12's will get just as tight as 10s will, anything that 10s can do and 12s cant should be handled by midbass drivers...

not installed yet, but sitting in my room.
2 kicker 12's. one is a competition speaker, the other is a freeair.
both are going to be powered by a 600watt kenwood amp.
i bought it all from a friend, for only $140.
