Problem with amp 400w

Hi guys first of all love the forum so much content haha
well i have a problem with my amp sometimes its sounds laughter and some times it doesnt give that much bass can somebody please help me with that, i dont know if i explained my self?

yeah, that is the most likely culprit..

where can i get a good ground from? when i bought the car it was and still is ground to the top near the rear speakers is that a bad place?

its not the best place, i grounded mine in the rear left of my trunk. i found a bolt that was attached to my cars body and yea. do that for a better ground and get a better ground wire

or maybe ur amp is getting close to overheating and just lowers the output.. probnot i think ive heard of rockfords just shutting down if they get overheated..

I think a better grounding spot will help.
