the reason i ask, is due to the fact that i just realized my voice coil is separating from my dust cone area. the sub of topic is an AUDIOBAHN. any tips would be great.

where to get subs fixed?

Send them to audiobahn direct or contact them www.audiobahninc.com, If you haven't had them for more than a year take them back to were you bought them they might just exchange them, Atleast that's what I do for the first year on any equipment that I sell.

Don't glue them, and if you've been beating on them pretty hard, that could be the reason they are falling apart...
I'd get a different, reliable brand of subwoofer...

YEah probably you had the jl's in a diff box? I'f not remember differen't subs need specific air volumes i.e. one box good for sub A. may not be good for sub B. even if B is a better speaker.
Another Q, can you smell anything funny from the one that's going? the speakers I blew smelled funny before they went. There are two ways you're speakers are going to go.. the cone gets a hole in it(bad box, to much power + bad box) , or the voice coils go (to much power/too long =overheat). Believe it or not I actually saw one comp. 15" with a replaceable cone one, but since that was one RARE $4000 sub and I haven't seen anything else like it since, don't count on getting any speaker fixed.
