if this has already been answered then sorry, cause i couldn't find it...

i have infinity 6002i's in my rear deck currently and someone recently told me that i would have better sound switching the infinity's into the front door and the stocks back in the rear? could someone put some more clarification on this please? thanks in advance

Well, the front speakers are closer to your ears, so of course you will "hear" them better. I would just replace the front outright, instead of swapping.

yes! front speakers are the most important, since they are closer to you, youll hear the detail from those much more so than the rear. rear speakers dont really allow you to hear the highs as well. i would just get some more infinities for the front, however if money is tight stock or cheap aftermarkets will sound just fine in the back.

yea i want to get another pair of infinitys for the front. i've seen a set of references go for $60 something. i think that's the cheapest i can find right now. if i don't get them anytime soon, im just going to swap the rears into the doors for now

edit :: yes, the door speakers sound better because they are closer, BUT, don't the rear speakers fill the entire cabin better as a whole, since they face up and sort of angled to the front?
