Are they any good? They have some GOOD prices on stuff on ebay, just wondering if its really a good deal or not...?

Not sure, but they do a lot of the audio for Pimp my Ride.

directed is the parent company for alarms like viper, hornet, cliffford, and avital. used to go by dei (directed electronics inc.).

I hear they are pretty damm good actually. The viper amp suppose to be very good and put out what they are rated at.

I know an audio shop here, and they carry Directed Audio stuff, they sound good to me.

Not as good as the older stuff (in reliability and quality), but still ranks higher than most other brands. I would say they are on the level of Rockford Fosgate Power-series (not cheap punch series)

i am sure everyone is knows this but directed is a pruduct of dei they make some of the biggest name in car audio alarms etc orion , viper , clifford ppi, ads etc i have a good frien that runs a shop in xenia oh and the deal in dei products , i have never heard them speak i'll of them however i have not tried myself yet

You guys gotta be serious? DEI is the shit. I mean, there is better out there but not too many brands can come close to them, besides, they own Orion, PPI, A/D/S, Viper, and I'm pretty sure more to come . I would honestly have to say that every amp they manufacture at least does the claimed power or exceeds it. So yeah, DEI makes good stuff. They gotta be one of the better manufactures out there who survived.

i dont know about their new stuff, i heard its gone down. I have the old school dei 1100d amplifier and the thing is NASTY. makes my subs hit so hard and clean its awesome. so yeah, i recommend.

seems like everyones old stuff is better. but ive never heard one bad thing about em. i used to have an orion 15" hit real hard
