why would you want a bandpass box? they have neither high SPL, nor good SQ, unless you possess the skills to make a perfect box, tune that box, and have the know-how and wherewithal to do it...which, if ur askin someone else to do it..i doubt that you have that..i would just go ported for SPL, and sealed for SQ...simple enough...
i can tune it. lol. between focal polyglass speakers, a jl 4ch 300w amp, and a $1400 nakamichi headunit, i know how to tune a box. i just dont build my own ish because im not one to trust my own work when it comes to building anything from scratch...

Once a bandpass box is built, you can't retune it because the tuning frequency depends on the enclosure size, length of the port, and diameter of the port. That's just assuming you have a 4th order bandpass box. If you have a 6th order bandpass, you're not going to be able to tune, at least not in a practical manor. With a great subwoofer like a W7, why throw it in a box that doesn't sound good? That's like getting a $2000 amp to power stock speakers.
If you cant' build your own box, you're not going to be able to tune well because tuning requires physical work too.
roger that. thanks for not being a douche bag. i dont know subs other than listening to them, and i wanted a little more bass than my speakers are giving me right now.

Aye I have a JLW6v2 12" and I am running a custom ported box with 1.25c3
with 1200 watts pushing it and these speakers bang
400 watts rms with a sealed box running on these specs\\ Dimensions: (H) Height x (W) Width x (D) Depth 12.55 in. x 15.00 in. x 15.75 in.
319 mm x 381 mm x 400 mm.............
just run this by any audio store and have them build you a box within these specs. They come straight from jl audio and is what they recomend...You will be very happy with the performance and reliability of that speaker

U have 1200watts rms going into a w6v2? I have a 500/1 on my 12w6v2 and that seems like alot. But back to the subject at hand, yeah first a bandpass box for a w7 would be large for one and its a SQL sub and you would would be better off buying a RE XXX or something if you just want bass, cause your not gonna get good sound quality from a bandpass box and when the sub blow you will never know cause you will not be able to hear it.
here is the box for my 12w6v2 it was pretty easy , but i install for a living so I guess it would only be nautural for it too.
Yeah I think its too much hurts my ears i have it on a very low input setting never turned it up past half. But yeah its a class d monoblock amp hiphonicks titan series very good amp and my box is 2.25 i messed up...

just cuz you happen to have nice equipment doesnt mean anything whatsoever...who cares what you have, that shows nothing of your skill...for all we know...you are just another rich kid who's daddy buys him everything he wants...

for the price of a W7 he could have just gotten a xxx and had money to spend, and in my opinion the xxx has slightly more bass but the w7 sounds better musically IMO. Just because its not labels as a specific SPL subs from the manufacture doesnt mean its a SQL sub either.

I've always said bandpass boxes are for SUV's, but I still believe they suck. If you play rap music, etc., you should get a ported box. If you play a lot of rock, etc., I'd go with a sealed box.
However with a dub-7, you should probably have a sealed box, just because of the power they put out. I'd go with a cheaper set of 12"s like Alpine type R's, or maybe 1 Kicker S12L7, probably for around the same price range.

why someone would come to cb7tuner to ask someone to build a box, rather than going to an audio store in the first place is beyond me. so i'll just second the notion and move on.

well that does go to show how much you do know, because my dad died in a car wreck when i was two years old buddy. try not being a jackass sometime.
