Im still stuck in 3 yr old alpine land. I need a new headunit but for the same features of mine plus some are abotu the same price i payed for my unit 3 years ago. Ill prob get one when mine shits the bed.

The 9835 does the same thing. I remember Halloween and Thanksgiving too. If you have your birthdate set in your deck (through Alpine's i-personalize), it will say Happy Birthday on that day too.

Lol, yea, I got an alarm, its actually pretty sensitive too, just knock on it and it'll go off lol.

you paid $500 for that alpine? i just got the same one from my girl for x- mas.....you paid wayyyyyyyyyy tooooooooo much for it brother, however the cd player is tight

Just to let you guys know; the Alpine's this year (9851,9853, and 9855) were made with a cheaper motor for the motorized face to flip. That has been one of the biggest problems with these head units. I would try to get something different. Alpine's decks are nice, but this year's decks just suck.

I'm the proud owner of the 9855 also. I'm satisfied wit it overall. Should've holla at me though.....i could of got u one brand new for $250 .
