Powering up issues... bad amp or wiring?

the amp in question is one of these.

yes i know its an ebay pos, but i got it 4 years ago when i was making $8/hr, so i couldnt really be picky. anyways, recently it will randomly not work. when i first turn the receiver on, the jensen logo lights up and the red protect light flashes for a second.

after, when the red light turns off and normally the green power light turns on, it doesnt. the jensen logo stays lit, but i dont get any power to the sub. while im driving around, at any random moment, the green light turns on, the amp starts working and the sub starts to hit.

is the amp finally shitting out on me? i checked all the connections and they look good. fuses are fine, grounds solid.

Sounds like a bad amp, I would definitly check the remote turn on though because if that was shorting it would cause the exact problem your having.

guess ill put my money on a bad amp then... i split the remote turn-on to both amps, and i never have any issues with the other(not a jensen, maybe thats why).
