        Thanks alot

My cousin Has both the old one and the newish l7(the black ones) and he wants me to build him a box for the old solobaric and he will just give me the square 15" l7 if the box sounds good.

I am looking at the specs and I see that it only has the box size for sealed....so only sealed enclosure this can be used?

yeah...the older solos weren't bmeant to be used in ported boxes..it says that somewhere in one of those write-up things..the best air volume to go with (for 12's im guessing) is 0.88 cu.ft. for SQ....also that is with lots of power...those solos will handle higher than RMS power if they are used in smaller boxes...im giveng each one ~400wRMS in a 0.88cu.ft. box...if you want the plans...i might be drafting up some for the box that i made..search the audio forum for the box..its pretty tight...

here's a quote from the second link....

NOTE: DO NOT USE SOLO-BARIC DRIVERS IN THE FOLLOWING ENCLOSURE DESIGNS:
          • Larger than recommended sealed enclosures
          • Any vented or ported enclosure
          • Free air or infinite baffle mounting
          • “7th order” double-vented bandpass enclosures
          • Passive radiator designsUse of the Solo-Baric in enclosures with improper sealed volume can result in driver failurethat may not be covered under warranty
