    tweeters in rear panel

I think I'm going to get the 6.5 in speaker pods for the rear and then put in the tweeters (cdt hd's) in the rear pillar... what do y'all think?

the purpose of the sound stage is to get the clearest notes possible to the driver's ear...so if you spend good money on CDT's, then put them behind you...thats not really doing what they were designed for..
mids and highs especially are very directional..they need to be facing the right way before you get the utmost sound quality and all that out of them..
a person speaking to you, but facing away sound murky...but if that same person looks at you and speaks to you...then you hear it as it was meant to be heard...same thing with tweeters..

IMO, i would mount them in kick panels, and install the tweets in the a-pillars, rather than in the rear pillars...

I wouldn't be getting the sound stage tweeters. i've got tweeters up front already in my mb quart premiums.

id hope you mount it so it wont look ***.

what i did on someones car is put it in their rear armrest area....made a bracket and mounted it in t here.

        it wasnt soo bad.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

this sounds like a better idea...you need the tweets to come from the front, not the rear...the B-pillar might be the best location if you wanted to run the wiring...

i am not a big car audio fanatic but i would highly beleive that having speakers in the rear would increase the sound quality heard. just think of it as a entertainment system. does a 2.1 system sound better than a 6.1 or even a 7.1????? no......it about surround sound. go for speakers/tweeters in the rear, can only make it better IMO.....fool with the angel to rid of any sound canceling waves. again i am by no means smart on car audio

personally..i dont think anything sounds better than music at a concert...and that is where the whole "sound stage" comes from...at a concert...the music comes from...thats right, in front of you..not from behind...
therefore...its more realistic and sounds better to me if the music comes from in front of you...and that the sound waves from the front arent thrown off by waves emanating from the rear of the car...

umm, theres a huge difference between watching a war movie thats surround sound and listening to music...SQ isnt important when listening to gunfire and explosions...just my $.02

ok, thats nice..im still saying, there is a big difference between music...and between the sounds that are made in a movie..
you have to take into account the rhythm and the harmonics and the frequencies and all of that kinda thing...
