Xtant amps of the past are GOD....

Try searching on ebay for a 3300c or 3300x - THE BEST AMP EVER MADE.

3 channel amp thats good enough to run front and rear midrange and highs and a single mono channel for the subwoofer...

There is also a plug in module kit for different cutoff points

Now that they are owned by MTX, there quality went down the shitter...

Track down the old stuff, thats where its at...

The 2140 is a great 2 channel amp and is enough to power front and rear...

Thats my personal FAVORITE company that helped me win tons of trophies...

      The speakers I never experienced.

But if you want me to tell you whats best, PM me and I'll show you what to get.

Nice choice, BTW... glad you didn't choose the shit route like many others...

Xtant was leaps beyond MTX back in the late 90's... look up some benchtests if you want to challenge me.

hahaha.. It's not hard to beat MTX's quality, you need to check out some of the smaller companies, some like Digital Designs Audio or Harrison labs.. Both absolutly kick ass and the prices are very low compared to mtx.

no big deal.........regardless of underrating, mtx amps are extremely reliable as well....you cannot beat mtx for reliabilty in my book...had them in a jeep cherokee for 5 years, then in a garage for 3 more, then in my blazer for a year, and now in my garage for some time..and i live in florida...where its over 160 degrees inside the vehicles...and i dont have a/c, nor cooling fans to cool the amps, and i get flawless performance from 9 year old amps..after years of service...yeah, and they still look good as new...

Blah. Harrison Lab amps is kind of...cruddy. Overrated in power with one of the worst crafted circuit board. If you ever opened up their amps, you'll know what I'm talking about.

MTX..yum..I like their old Blue thunder sub. Probably one of the better MTX subs sold in larger chain stores.

I was thinking of getting a 121M amp and the A series sub for just a little thump. What do you guys think about that? And is Xtant one of those companies that underrate their stuff also?

What is your spending budget? The Xtant stuff you speak of is lower end stuff. Xtant didn't really fall off since MTX owned them so don't get the wrong impression. MTX make some hardcore products that alot of companies still can't come close to. Just for the record, the MTX 9500 series sub whooped the JL W7 series in every way and is priced wwwaaayyy lower than the W7 of the same size. Since Xtant IS now owned by MTX, it's still a great company with great products. But the thing about Harrison Labs, yeah, I heard horror stories about them too.

Couldn't of been done without you guys

My budget is pretty low considering I saw it on ebay for around $90 and I just want a spare setup for winter. Right now I have MB quart's 15" sub and rockford fosgate 501s amp and I just want to tone it down a little for winter....or possible buy that setup and sell it to someone and make a lil dough.

You saw the amp and sub for $90? How about shipping? How much do you have to spend total after shipping?

Its going to be around 80 or so with shipping if the bid dosent go up. Is that a bad price for the amp enclosure and sub? The sub is the A series 12".
