How to remove power antenna?

yea like the questions says, i need to remove the motor, i already took the lil screw out and removed the wires, but i cannot get it removed from the mask on the outside, whats the process to remove the mask on that?

if i remember right you have to unscrew or pull off that top metal piece(outside of the car). call crutchfield at 1-888-955-9000 and ask someone there if you cant figure it out.

You have to get some pliers or something that will get grip on the chrome piece from the outside. unscrew that, and pull that off. then go inside, pull out the liner on the side of the trunk, and unbolt the bottom. I think there are 1 or 2 bolts inside.

i use a towel and a wrench to turn it, then it comes out from the bottom.

Try what accordztech said, or do how I do:
Take a screwdriver and place it in one of the slots and use a hammer and tap it in a counter-clockwise direction to unscrew the chrome cap screw.

well most of them got it pretty much. its a pain in the azz tho 2 do it there way. there is special tool that u can buy 2 get the ant. out it has like 4 little sticks on the bottom or 2 which ever 1 u need 2 be able 2 get it out. once u get that tool its so fuckin easy. if u don't wanna buy that tool. try what they said on top.

Dang I wish I new about this....everytime I take someones antenna off it usually takes about 10 just to get that cap screw off.

there is a special tool but haha i have no time to find it. and reawlly my way took me like 10 minutes...just twist the top and pull from the botom tada....

lol with this tool it takes me least then 10 mins. try only a min not even that, but thats only if do this kind of work all the time. if u do then its best 2 buy this tool if u r only doin this once then its best 2 do it there way.
