    3 Second Rant....

    Changed out my RCA's in the back of my deck today. and found that my "Sub Out" is dead. WHAT THE FUNK... im totally bent now.....

      My old pioneer made me think it had dead Sub RCA's But turns out they can be shutoff from the deck within the crossover setting and all that mine was just set to the off setting soo sub channel wasnt even on turned it on and like new it was fine hope thats the case other than that sorry man also check and make sure amp fuse is good and sometimes even the deck has a fuse just for that channel in the back make sure its good also if u have one l8ter and Good Luck

        well on the alpines, if you click the audio selector knob and the sub out rca's are plugged in, it will allow you to adjust the signal level.
        and no they were not hooked up b4, i had both sets of rca's runnin to the front and rear outs on the deck. so today was the first time using them.

          Check x-over freq and sub volume on the deck, Mine has a sub-setting when you hold down the audio selector to turn the "sum-output" on! And on my wifes older alpine you switch the rears from sub amp outputs to rear speaker amp outputs(basically full range to low frequency range) Let us know about the outcome!

            well i've delt with it long enough now. have to yank the deck outa the sleeve to switch the RCA's from the rear to "SUB PRE OUT". and yes there is a switch of some sorts in the paramaters of the deck to turn on or off the sub out rca's. so gonna fix it tomorrow. got nothin else to do......
