i don't know all the terms for this crap so i will use a blurry picture to assist me. 
the wire going from my cap to my distributor block somehow came loose. when it came loose the stereo cut out. i left the wire sitting in place and went to classes this morning, leaving the stereo off.
i got home after my classes and tried to fix the problem. i disconnected the battery and put the wire back in place. when it connected to the distributor block the alarm went off and soon ran out of power and died.
i reattached the battery. normally the alarm goes off when i reconnect the battery but it didn't this time so i figured something must be wrong. i checked the fuses on the distributor block and one of them had blown. (the one removed in the picture).
am i doing something wrong in the process of reconnecting this wire?
