    how does autostart work/

    well i had auto start installed in my car...but i really dont know what is happening when i push the button and my car starts......

    well im also asking...... im going to install and msd distributor..and tower...will i mess with the autostart installation??? sorry for the lack of technical know how in the auto start field..thanks team.

    No the remote start all should be tied in under the dash. Im sure its possible that it could be routed to the distributor itself somehow(its possible) but then the installer didnt know what they were doing.

      well actually the auto needs the signal from the distributor so it knows if the car started. They normally tap into the rpm wire you should be ok. hope thats helps

        it mimic the key movement basically.
        in the ignition harness there is 1 constant 12v wire, as you turn the key in connects it to ignition, accesory and starter wireing, giving them 12v to start the car. so a starter does the same, through relays. you get a tach signal to the remote starter knows when to stop cranking. your msd stuff will not mess with it.
