    how to hook up a aftermarket tach

    a buddy of mine just gave me a summit racing tach (not a huge one) and i need to know how to hook it up because he didnt give me any instructions, because he didnt have them. theres four wires,red,green,white,and black if anyone could help me out tit would be appreciated, especialy if you could show pictures, or go step by step. thanks.

    its similar to auto meter, so this would be the wire setup
    red : power
    white : ignition
    black : ground
    green : rpm sensor
    5.6L V8 32V DOHC

      Hmm, let me try.

      Red = power
      Black= ground
      White = Dash light power source
      Green = Ignition source

      Ultimately you should call Summit and ask. They are pretty good at helping out and since it is one of their tachs they should have the information or help you find it.

        i had an autometer tach before and i had it runing to the ignition coil but i cant remember what wire
