need help asap

having no radio is making me crazy. the problem is that the radio isnt getting power all of the time. for instance sometimes there is power going to the radio and sometimes there isnt. i was wonder if there could be a short somewhere and if there is how can i find it?

first off did you check all the fuses?
and to test for power use a voltometer (sp?)

yes and yes. theres power from the harness. i also replace a new fuse too.
