    Programing Remote...not cb7 related!! sorry!

    Ok i know this has nothing to do with a cb7 but....my dad got a 02 yukon and the remote didnt work and now he just got a new remote and they wanted to charge 50 to program it i guess he said no...does anyone know how to program a remote....its a GMC Yukon....sorry this isnt cb7 related just need some help!!

    if its an aftermarket alarm, see if you get instructions from the manufacturer coz it will show you how to do it. save that $50 for gas.. coz all it takes is 2-3mins. to get this done.

          If that doesn't work, try turning the ignition on (just power not engine) 5 or 6 times in a row and hit the unlock button. You may hear some clicks.

            your probably going to have to do something like:

            1. have both doors closed
            2. driver seatbelt on
            3. push the brake in
            4. push a few buttons

            etc... it should all be in the manual.... the above steps(and then some) are required for a 05 ford focus.

              thats funny....oh and this gives me a chance to say NEVER buy alarms from judysdeals or cmttrading on ebay...i know it has nothing to w/ your yukon but i just thought id let you guys know if you decide to upgrade to something aftermarket
