I'll be finishing mine, hopefully, in a few weeks. My four 8" subs will be going in a regular box, colored black, in the trunk. I want them to be easily removable. I was gonna put my amps in the trunk, kinda in the spare space, but I think I'm gonna try and do something really cool, like cut up my rear seats, put the 2 amps in there. Covered with plexiglass and then put part of the seat back on top in case I need to use the seat and so they don't invite theives. And throw in some fans for cooling when the top is on them. I'm gonna re-upulster everything anyways, might as well make shit look cool. And then I might remove the backing of the rear seats and make it look clean and save some weight! For sure I'll have pics the day they're in.Metal Metal and more Metal!!!
How much does your wheel/tire combo weigh? Post here!

I will be making a custom box soon for the trunk, but right now I am runnong just one Kicker CVR 10" with a MTX amp and the bass is amazingly good. Soon I will be running two of those, and I may sell my current box with 10"
Don't understimate the bass power of a 10", pushed right it sounds good.

his enclosure is actually pretty close to the right size. solobaric kickers needs lotsa air space. my grand prix trunk isnt quite big enough for the potential of the 2 12's. and all this is coming from a sound audio installer of 15 years.

WRONG!!! The Solo L series subs are MADE for small enclosures. They can be in as small as 1.5 to 2.5 cubes.
The bigger the box is the boomier its gonna get. You "color" the sound of the bass when you get bigger dimensions on the box. I agree with the other guy. That guys box is WAY to big.
I installed automotive electronics and audio for 3 years and one of our vendors was kicker (stillwater designs).
I have also competed in USAC and IASCA sanctioned events and NEVER got anything under 2nd place.
Don't let everyone tell you you need a HUGE box for those L series. I could build you a custom enclosure that would be WAY smaller than 5 cubes and your subs would sound 10X better than in that HUGE box."you can catch me swoopin 4G coupin switchin lanes" haha haha.
