Fuses my man, fuses...check the top right fuse in the fusebox under the hood, and the top right fuse in the fusebox by the driver's left foot panel...one of them is probably blown. I hardwired my harnesses too and spent $$$ on units trying to figure out what was wrong, but ultimately I figured out it was all just the fuses.

either you have a blown fuse, a dead wire, our you are not hooking it up correctly. get a digital mulitmeter or at least a test light to verify power and ground

WTF would you cut the OEM harness off? The aftermarket harness that plugs right in only runs lik 3-10 bux. That is the way ALL shops do it also. It is almost pointless to cut and splice for a stereo install.
"you can catch me swoopin 4G coupin switchin lanes" haha haha.

i dont think he cut any wires..if youve installed a headunit before you should know that the harness isnt plug and play with the unit itself.

DhN prolly meant when he said "used electrical tape and twisted the wires" (paraphrase) that he connected the harness to the unit that way. we all know the OEM harness needs no cutting. thats why you buy an adaptor harness in the forst place..

thought id try and clear up any confusion..

like i said get a digital multimeter and test to see if you have constant power and accesory power when you turn the key. you said there was an electrical prolem so if you are not getting power at one of the leads it may be easier for you to run a new power or accesory wire to the ignition harness. but without knowing if you have power or not we cant help you over the net.
