Got a few things i'm worried about...first of all, i'm running 2 12"s through a 400watt amp, curious if i should run that with my car off? i work on my car alot and usually have the cdplayer running while its off. and when the car is on, i'm running(at night) 2 8" neon tubes(inside the car), and about 6 LEDS(2 where the cig lighter was, 2 drilled in on each side of the center console, and 2 drilled in by the ebrake.) plus all my stereo equipment. The neons, and all leds, run into the cigarrete lighter cord. i have about 16 wires(thats 8 hot, 8 ground) wrapped around 2 wires(1 hot, 1 ground) which was originally the hot and ground to the cigarrete lighter.
normally i wouldnt ask, but today while driving my amp kept cutting out causing my sub to hush, wondering why it would do that. i'm gonna check the ground on the amp tomorrow to make sure it's in place good.
so, am i doing anything wrong? please don't flame me, i'm new to all this wiring shit, i just learned what a resistor is and how to use it.

Before my last deck got stolen, my antenna worked. with my new deck i hooked it all up, connected the basic wires first(red, black, blue) and the antenna didn't go up. and still wont after everything was put in. I took apart the entire inside, both plastic things that cover the shifter and ebrake, and the plastic thing on the dash. so i could access the wiring better because my cords kept getting cut shorter and shorter when another deck is stolen. but anyways, it all looked liked it was hooked up fine, could the motor be burnt out? wouldn't it show signs of dying first?
