I was wondering for the longest time if it possible to run two batteries in a 92 Accord. I was my radio to run off one and the car to run off the other...
batteries dont create power, they only store it when the cars off. if anything you need a better alternator.
Just get a good alternator. I have 2 batteries in my car and im in need of high powered alternator because i run ALOT of power. Unless you have a BIG system you don't need to have 2 batteries. If you are running alot of pwer just get a deep cycle battery (yellow top optima) and a upgraded alternator and your set.

I don't have a bid sytem, yet... but I'd like to have two batteries so I can run some electronics stuff and not worry about not being able to start my car. Nothing with very high power requirements, but for the sake of startiblity. So are you saying the stock Alternator can't handle charging two batteries?
get a better alternator, and that should help out alot with the battery issue. I also reccommend getting a deepcycle battery *red top optima or yellow top*, both will do well, if you have a better alternator. Those two combined should create enough power for your system unless you running a ton of stuff. I would also think about getting capaciters for your system, unless you set on the two battery idea. good luck
Also remember to get a battery isolator so u can run all your system off you rear battery, and when your rear battery starts dying, and you trun your ignition on it will alow your main battery up front to start your car then your alternator will charge both batteries at the same time.
yes, what air ride said. if you get the second battery make sure you get an isolator if you want to sit around and play your system otherwise you'll just kill both batteries. And definately get an upgraded alternator if you're going to run two batteries, Hondas have horrible, tiny, small amperage alternators that can barely run the car as it is well maybe not that bad but pretty close. If you get a nice uprated alternator, a couple of nice gel cell batteries and an isolator you'll be set. Shouldn't need any caps at that point. Caps are really just bandaids, and ones that don't work that well IMO, especially if you're already really taxing your charging system
caps allow a person to get instant power. They store charge and can discharge extremly fast and if you have subs it will allow you to get the fast bass response.
Girls are like yellow lights, do i go for it or do i stop?
