If your like me i didnt want to put an extra 50+ ibls in my trunk so thats why i went with the 6x9. I have Alpine type s in my car running of a 40x4 and they sound great. No need for subs. And there is no cutting at all but there is four pieces 2xbottoms and 2x grills. They just bolt in.

Yeah if you had the 6x9 speaker baskets they would but that was an option either you had that or 6.5 speaker baskets

Bad news bro. I have a 92 dx sedan and I had to cut what they call the Trunk Spring to get my 6x9 pods to fit. The pods are oem out of an ex and in order for the magnets to fit I had to cut the rods going across the top of the trunk. I cut off about an inch on each side with a dremel. Not hard or anything but you will definately have to do some mod-ing if you it didnt come stock with 6x9's

I guess I got lucky with my 92 LX. I went to a slavage picked up a set of 6x9 pods for under 50 I bet it was 25 for both if I remember right. Painted them black worked like a champ no cutting at all. Orion 6x9s.

you shouldnt have to cut them , unless you bought speekers with big magnets , some have smaller/bigger
